FREE Holiday Gift Tags For Teachers & More!

I’ve designed 4 pages of fun downloadable gift tags for our fans! Some are targeted more for teachers/staff (from kids), and others are more fancy for gifting a bottle of wine or some sweet treats to a colleague or friend. There is also a super basic one that may or may not be used by SANTA this year 😉 that simply says “To” and “From”.

While these can be printed on cardstock, cut out, hole-punched and used as basic tags, I like to fancy mine up a little bit with a second layer of backer cardstock in a contrasting color. Here are the supplies I used for this project:

  • Cardstock or thick photo paper for printing
  • These 4 tag files below
  • Scissors
  • Colorful cardstock for backing tags
  • Hole Punch
  • Crafters Tape or glue stick or spray adhesive
  • Ribbons and twine
  • Optional: Decorative edge scissors

Here are the instructions I followed to make these cute tags:

  1. Print the tags onto cardstock (I use 110lb) or photo paper (which is thicker than paper and showcases the colors more rich and deep but uses more of your computer’s ink.
  2. Cut out tags. Leaving a small border around them, lay out a tag or two at a time on the full page of colorful cardstock (backer card). Attach cut out tag to backer card with crafter’s tape/adhesive.
  3. Cut a small border around the entire card. Hole punch the circle on the top of the tag.
  4. Add ribbon or twine.
  5. You can use patterned cardstock for the backer card, or use pattern-edge cutting scissors to add more pizzazz or even double-mount your tags with two layers of cardstock showing off 2 colorful borders instead of just one. This is a really fun, creative project you can really put your own spin on!

I am excited to make some treats including Amanda’s Sugar Cookies, Pecan Snowballs, Double Chocolate Walnut Cookies and some of my family favorites too! I plan to package them up all cute and tie these awesome tags to them! I might even gift some little already assembled “tag sets” to some of my friends so they can use these cute tags too!

Hope these tags make your holiday BRIGHTER!

XOXOXO — Kristen
